Our objective is to become B Corp certified by 2023.
Our company’s core purpose to ‘create meaningful change through exceptional people’ which we apply rigorously to our staff, candidates, clients and those who interact with our business more broadly. It drives every aspect of how we conduct ourselves to ensure we conduct ourselves and our business operations, with the utmost integrity.
To this end, Leathwaite has an established internal ESG Team, comprising of a broad array of members representing all areas of our company. In addition, via our CSR programme of activity, company staff actively choose and engage with a variety of charity partners, whilst also receiving a volunteer day per year to facilitate and encourage this.

Building diversity with our own business
We are making it a priority to understand and improve our own internal make-up of Leathwaite to help us become a diverse and inclusive employer and business partner to our clients. Leathwaite is recognised as being a global leader within executive search for corporate functions, and in every assignment we use this knowledge and experience to source and appraise a diverse shortlist of candidates, whilst ensuring that this focus doesn’t compromise on the quality and integrity of our recommendations.
We recognise the benefits and importance of a diverse workforce, bringing a variety of perspectives and experiences into the workplace, promotes a positive culture and reflects the environment in which we live.
Data Tracking
All consultants report both internally and externally on talent processes and engagements to ensure they are fair, equitable and representative of diverse candidate slates.
Leathwaite Clarity Assessment Model
The Leathwaite Clarity Assessment Model (LCAM) is our proprietary assessment framework, which we use to evaluate and compare candidates’ cultural fit and experience level. It also helps our teams and our clients remove bias from their candidate assessment process.
Metrics & Transparency
We take great pride in gaining feedback from our candidates and clients to ensure we are delivering a service, that is not only to the highest possible standard, but is also helping to advance the diversity and inclusion strategies of our clients. We actively gain NPS feedback from both candidates and clients.
Unconscious Bias Training
We have mandated a certified, external training program for all employees to ensure that we recognize, manage and mitigate our unconscious biases, helping us to provide a more inclusive executive recruitment solution for both our candidates and our clients.

During each retained search assignment our team maintains an ongoing record of the diversity of candidates interviewed by clients.
Our current candidate statistics show that in 87% assignments clients have interviewed ethnically and / or gender diverse candidates.
