Steven Kaufman

Steven Kaufman is a Director in Leathwaite’s North American Information Technology Practice. Steven works as a strategy and delivery consultant for clients’ technology-focused assignments. Drawing on deep-seeded executive search best practices, Steven is able to fully assess his clients’ technical requirements while being mindful of the cultural and business nuances which are unique to each engagement. Steven acts as the clients point of contact, managing delivery teams and overseeing every aspect of search execution from inception to conclusion, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

With over 18 years of recruitment experience specific to the technology sector, Steven has worked with companies ranging from Fortune 500 companies to VC funded and high-growth start-ups.

Before joining Leathwaite, Steven was with Korn Ferry, working as the Sector Leader, Cyber Security & Cloud Transformation, where he oversaw operations, business development, and executive-level recruitment for global technology companies throughout North America.
Prior to that, Steven spent 8 years as the Managing Partner of Tokyo based firm, Silvertree International, where he oversaw operations, business development, and executive-level recruitment for global technology companies throughout Japan and Asia Pacific. Steven returned to Canada in 2010 and launched the Kaufman Consulting Group, a boutique retained search firm.

Education:

Steven graduated with an Honors Business Law degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, and studied Information Systems security at Algonquin College of Applied Arts & Technology.
