Now in its 6th year, our annual Global CFO Report is an insightful survey of finance leaders and their management teams highlighting the many challenges and expectations of their function and business in general. We are able to combine this robust data with our insights from daily conversations with CFOs from leading global companies.


COVID-19 remains a talking point, and while many of the initial challenges brought on by the pandemic have since passed, there is still a level of adjustment required in key areas. This Global CFO Report highlights the talent and labour market remains a crucial issue amongst CFOs. With 92% of global respondents having concerns over shortages. There are also worries over ESG matters, with 73% of respondents having concerns over the impact of climate change and climate transition.

  • 92% of CFOs still had concerns over a persistent lack of talent and skills shortages.
  • 73% of CFOs were either very concerned or somewhat concerned about climate change and climate transition.
  • Talent retention ranked highest for the top business challenge of the coming 12 months in all regions apart from Europe.
