Leathwaite is proud to take part in this years Global Run in the Dark.

Leathwaite lit up the night taking part in this year’s global 5km event Run in the Dark. Teams across the globe ran connecting digitally across continents, raising awareness for the Mark Pollock Trust. Fundraising for Collaborative Cures to help cure paralysis in our lifetime.

The Asia team took on the global event as a group around Quarry Bay Park in Hong Kong followed by a well deserved dinner. While the London team competed virtually, with a small group running through London city along the River Themes, followed by a celabatory drink. The New York team also ran virtually while some opted for a treadmill, others braved the weather for some site-seeing around Central Park.

Leathwaite have supported the global event for the last 5 years with great success. The Trust itself aims to help cure paralysis. And, since 2011 Mark and his team have co-created projects valued at over €10 million involving: rehabilitation; robotics; exercise physiology; neuro modulation; neuroscience; bioengineering; and pharmacology.

The LWC:

The event was orgainsed by the Leathwaite Community (LWC), to sustain and develop a positive culture in the workplace. Providing a great insight into what the team of Leathwaite get involved in, outside of their day job.

The LWC is open to all employees to join and members will have the opportunity to pursue projects that they are passionate about and take part in some fantastic team-building events. All whilst giving back and being involved in the continuous success of Leathwaite’s CSR initiatives. It will encourage, inspire and engage all of our people, globally, to achieve common goals. The event is just one example of Leathwaite coming together to live by one of their key values #competetogether.
