Human Resources

Key Themes

Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) remains the number one priority for HR leaders who are increasingly tying the diversity and inclusion strategy to specific business objectives, as organizations recognize it is more than ‘just an HR program’.

Employee Experience is without question one of most important items in the HR in-tray, especially as HR has played a key role in organizations rising to the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis. Where Employee Relations (ER) are concerned, there’s a perception that the role has particularly negative connotations in some firms, however there is a pivot from it being a purely defensive practice to a more preventative measure, closely aligned with culture and engagement.

Mental Health and Wellness are also key parts of the narrative, with recent high-profile examples in some of the West Coast tech firms highlighting that “free stuff” alone does not equate to happy and motivated employees. This has become increasingly important as the workforce transitions to remote working, with many facing challenges around work-life balance and home-schooling children.
