Ada joined Leathwaite in 2015 and is the Executive Assistant supporting the Hong Kong office.

Bernice joined Leathwaite in 2014 and supports the governance (legal, risk, compliance), private practice legal and company secretary teams within the APAC region. Prior to this she worked as a human resources intern for an Investment Bank and has internship experience in a Hong Kong based contingent headhunting firm. Bernice graduated from King’s College London with a BSc in Business Management.

Here's our 90 second interview with Ada.....

Thinking back to when you joined Leathwaite, what first attracted you to the company?

The People. Everyone I have met since Day 1 (or even before I started – through the interview process) is so nice! And it’s not just colleagues in the HK office – colleagues in other offices too (London, New York and Zurich). This makes me feel we are a Global office rather than one of the regional offices.

What is your biggest professional achievement at Leathwaite to date?

To initiate and organise the first CSR event for HK office (Career Preparation Workshop – Build Your Real World CV with a Pro with HKUSpace). I have been given the freedom and authority to decide what we should and how we should arrange the event.

What three words that best describe your role at Leathwaite?

Multitasking, Organize, Fun.

How has Leathwaite changed you since you have joined?

I was never active before joining Leathwaite. The passion my team has on doing sports influenced me to start moving too – and of course thanks to the gym subsidy Leathwaite offers to its employees, I really have no excuse not to get active!

What is your guilty pleasure?

Sleep for hours!

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

That I do Thai Boxing!

Which one of Leathwaite’s internal values do you most relate to?

Find a way to say “Yes”
This value affects my work as well as my personal life.

What is your motto or personal mantra?

Work hard, play hard

What advice would you give people starting out in their careers?

Always be humble and don’t be afraid to ask questions when there are things you are unsure about.
