  • Pat Galvin has been hired as Chief Revenue Officer of North America by Cision, overseeing its customer acquisition and retention go-to-market strategy and sales integration efforts.
  • David Godsman becomes Chief Digital Marketing Officer at Coca-Cola. Formerly he was Head of Emerging Payments and Commerce at Bank of America.
  • Mathew Kardell, previously with First Data Corporation, joins the EMT (exec management team) of CO-OP Financial Services as Chief Revenue Officer. He will be responsible for managing and maximising the credit union-owned company’s sources of income
  • Melissa Joye has joined Farmers Insurance as Chief Customer Experience Officer and will be based in Los Angeles. Prior to this role Joye was at American Express as VP of Strategic Planning.
  • Gino Bautista, has been hired by GIBC Digital to head its Business Intelligence Group. Bautista will be responsible for leading teams in New York, London, Hong Kong and Singapore, from the company’s headquarters in Brooklyn. He will also serve as a member of the company’s advisory board.
  • Jennifer Wilson becomes Chief Digital Officer at Hancock Whitney Bank. She was formerly at BBVA Compass where she was EVP for Multi-Channel Planning and Administration.
  • Jonathan (Jon) Witter has been named as the new Chief Customer Officer of the global hospitality group, Hilton. In this newly created role, he will oversee the global brands, marketing, loyalty and partnerships, IT and strategy teams.
  • Tricia Rothschild becomes Chief Product Officer at Morningstar. Formerly she was Head of Global Advisor Solutions for the business.
  • Vishy Narayanan has been appointed by PwC as its first Chief Digital Officer. Narayanan joins the professional services giant from hearing aid-makers Cochlear, where he was Global Head of Digital Technology. He will lead PwC’s internal technology team to “drive change across PwC to ensure all our technology works seamlessly and adds value right across the business and that PwC continues to make the right investments into the future”, the company said.
  • Rob Roy becomes Chief Digital Officer at Sprint. Formerly he was Head of eCommerce and Digital Revenue for and
  • Kishore Mardikar has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer at TataCLiQ, the ecommerce venture arm of Tata Group, as the company seeks to strengthen its top deck. He was formerly VP Marketing for TATA Airlines.
  • Stephanie Perdue joins TGI Fridays as CMO from Taco Bell where she was Chief Product Marketing Officer.
  • Kevin Phalen has been appointed Global Head of Commercial Banking for Visa. Kevin was previously a Managing Director at Bank of America.
  • Atif Rafiq becomes Chief Digital Officer at Volvo Cars. Formerly he was at McDonald’s where he was Chief Digital Officer. He replaces Klas Bendrik who will assist with the transition and then leave the company.
  • Chris De Bruin becomes President of Digital Platforms at Zafin. Formerly he was at Standard Chartered where he was Global Head of Retail Products and Digital.


  • Lynn Mah has joined AllianceBernstein, the $480B New York based Investment Manager, as EMEA Head of Marketing. She previously worked for GAM, the Swiss asset manager.
  • David Chubak has been named by Citigroup as Global Head of Retail Banking and Mortgages, reporting to Stephen Bird the CEO of Global Consumer Banking.
  • Richard Pennycook, the Co-operative CEO, has stepped down. He will be replaced by Steve Murrells, currently CEO of Retail.
  • Donatas Kontrimas joins deVere Vault from Barclays as General Manager, reporting directly to Nigel Green, the deVere Group CEO.
  • Joe Gordon, has been promoted within HSBC-owned First Direct from his role as Head of Contact Centres to become the Head of the Bank. Gordon will replace Tracy Garrad, who has taken on the role of CEO at HSBC in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
  • Adam Brown joins GAM as Global Head of Marketing and will be based in London. He was previously at Columbia Threadneedle, where he was responsible for leading marketing across EMEA and APAC.
  • Leanne Cutts has been appointed by HSBC as Group Head of Marketing. She will succeed Chris Clark. Cutts was previously President for Gum, Candy and Beverages for APAC, Africa and the Middle East, whilst at Mondelez.
  • Martin Thommen joins Lombard Odier Investment Managers as Head of Third Party Distribution, from UBS Asset Management where he was Head of Wealth Management and Personal Banking Distribution. Thommen will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.
  • Andy Veares joins Metro Bank as Director of Large Commercial Banking. He will lead the team which will also include Paul Robinson and Simon Vallance, who are both former Relationship Directors at Santander. Mark Byrne and Andrew Cremin are also joining the team. They were previously Directors at Lloyds Banking Group.
  • Stephen Van Coller has become Head of Digital Services of Africa’s biggest wireless operator, MTN Group, seven months after he joined the company as Head of Strategy.
  • Marjan Delatinne has joined fintech startup Ripple as European Sales Director, from Swift where he was Business Development Director.
  • Philippe Broadhead has been hired by Sarasin, the £14.4B London based asset manager, as Head of Distribution. He joins from Architas, part of the AXA insurance group.
  • Pinar Emirdag has joined State Street as Head of Digital Product Development, reporting to Antoine Shagoury (Global CIO) globally and Stan Drasky (EMEA CIO). She will be responsible for the management of crypto and digital currencies and assets, blockchain products; and will support the development of new business product opportunities across State Street’s business lines. Emirdag is based in London and will partner with Drasky to lead and control EMEA strategy and execution of the firm’s digital assets initiatives.
  • John Lyons is joining TSB as Payments Director, from RBS where he was Head of Strategy, Innovation & Business Development, and Payments.
  • Philip McHugh has been named President of Merchant Solutions Segment by TSYS. McHugh was previously the CEO of Barclaycard Business Solutions and has been replaced by Steve Cooper who previously was CEO of Personal and Corporate Banking.
  • Ben Cooper has been appointed to the role of Commercial Director for Rowan Darlington. Ben was most recently COO for the business.


  • Shailesh Grover has taken on the role of Digital APAC Managing Partner for Capco, based in Singapore. Previously he was Managing Director of R&D, Client and Customer Experience at Barclays.
  • Olivier Crespin who was appointed Group Head of Digital Banking at DBS in March 2014 is stepping down to pursue a new role in another organisation outside Singapore. Crespin joined DBS in July 2010 as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for DBS Wealth Management.
  • Mike Baird, the former New South Wales Premier, joins National Australia Bank (NAB). Baird will join the bank in the capacity of Chief Customer Officer for Corporate & Institutional Banking, after announcing his retirement from politics in January.
  • Jay Nair has been promoted to Executive Director, Digital Servicing at Standard Chartered, he was previously the Bank’s Head of Governance, Digital.
    Sriram Srinivasan joins Standard Chartered as Programme Director, Global Digital. His previous role was APAC Head of Digital Platforms and Channel Operations at HSBC.

CEO / Board appointments:

  • Francesca McDonagh has joined Bank of Ireland as CEO. She will take up the role in October and succeed Richie Boucher who steps down later this year.
  • Steve Cooper, has moved on from his current role as CEO of Personal Banking and Executive Director for Europe to become CEO of Barclaycard Business Solutions.
  • John Donovan is appointed CEO of Bizfi. The payments veteran spent 20 years with MasterCard and co-founded Lending Club.
  • William M. Hernandez has been named as CEO at First Performance Global, a fintech startup which specialises within the ATDC Signature portfolio of companies. A. Wayne Johnson, founding CEO, will continue to serve as board chairman.
  • Ian Stuart, the current Head of Commercial Banking for HSBC, has been named as the new Chief Executive, subject to regulatory approval, and will be based in Birmingham.
  • Mark Tucker, the former AIA Head, is confirmed as the new chairman of HSBC. Tuckers appointment was greeted positively in the markets, resulting in a rise in share price for the banking giant.
  • Natalie Ceeney CBE will join the Board of Innovate Finance, the membership association for UK’s global fintech sector, as Non-Executive Chair, taking over from Alastair Lukies CBE.
  • Thasunda Duckett becomes Consumer Banking CEO at JPMorgan. He replaces Barry Sommers, who moves to be CEO of Wealth Management within a new unit that will bridge the company’s retail bank and asset management segments.
  • Sarah Wilkinson has been appointed by NHS Digital as its new CEO. Wilkinson is currently the Chief Digital, Data and Technology Officer at the Home Office. She will join NHS Digital later this year, replacing interim CEO Rob Shaw, who has been holding the fort since Andy Williams retired at the end of March.
  • Max Narro is appointed CEO at PayCommerce. He was formerly President of Worldpay.
  • Darren Pope and Eva Eisenschimmel have both been appointed to the Board of Virgin Money as Independent Non-Executive Directors.
  • Kim Crawford Goodman is appointed CEO at Worldpay US. She previously held board roles with Charter Communications and Alcatel-Lucent, and was the President of Business Travel at American Express.
  • Peter Jackson has been appointed by Worldpay as its new UK CEO. Jackson was formerly Head of Innovation at Banco Santander, and is replacing former CEO, Dave Hobday who is joining the RAC as CEO.
