Key Moves

  • Tristram Roberts becomes the interim Group HR Director at Barclays. This is following the resignation of Irene McDermott-Brown. Yun Chung is the interim HR Director for the Investment Bank while Roberts assumes his new role.
  • Margaret Murphy has resigned as Chief of Staff; there is an internal search underway to find her replacement.
  • Eddie Ahmed has been appointed the Global Head of HR at MassMutual Financial Group. He leaves Citi, where he was previously the EMEA Head of HR. His successor is yet to be announced.
  • Bruce Larson has relocated to Hong Kong to be Goldman Sachs’ APAC Head of HR. Kate Aitken will assume the role of APAC Head of HR Business Partnering from Sydney. These changes follow Eva Chau’s retirement.
  • Sarah Morris is now the Group HR Director at Aviva. She leaves Thomson Reuters where she was the Global Head of HR and Transformation.
  • Simon Davies has joined Lloyds Banking Group after announcing his retirement from Linklaters. He leaves to embark on a newly formed role as Chief People, Legal and Strategy Officer. 
  • Mark Shelton is the new Global Head of Reward for UBS. He joins from EY where he led the executive compensation and reward practice for the UK and Ireland.  
  • Steve Taylor is the new Global Head of People Analytics at Deutsche Bank. He has been with the organisation since 2011, and was previously the Global Co-Head of HRMI and People Analytics.
  • Rani Swords has been appointed as Head of International Human Resources for Jefferies based in London.
  • Lucinda Charles-Jones has been announced as the Group HR Director at AXA UK & Ireland. She previously held this role on an interim basis but has been offered the permanent position.
  • Mauro Ghilardi has moved to BTG Pactual to be the Group Head of HR. He leaves Zurich Insurance Group, where he was the Head of HR for Life Insurance. He relocates to Brazil to take up this position.
  • Ronan Cassidy has been appointed as the new Chief Human Resources and Corporate Officer at Royal Dutch Shell. He succeeds Hugh Mitchell who will be leaving the organisation at the end of 2015.
  • Trisha Conley has been promoted at BP. She is now the HR Vice President for Fuels in North America and the Head of Country HR for Downstream. Previously she held the position as the Head of Talent Management and Head of Resourcing for Refining and Marketing.
  • Stephanie Ahern has been announced as the Vice President of HR Business Partnering at American Express. She has been with the organisation since 2005, having previously worked for JPMorgan.
  • Marc Schoenen at Google has been promoted internally. He is now the International Compensation Director across LatAm, EMEA, APAC and South America.
  • Bryan Power is the new Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Yahoo. He joins from Square, where he was the Senior Director of Talent. Prior to Square, he worked for Google.
  • Pema Radha has been appointed as the HR Director at Octopus Investments. She previously worked for Barclays as the Head of Employee Communications.
  • Alison Wilcox has been appointed as BT’s new Group HR Director. Wilcox joins from Vodafone where she was the Regional HR Director for Europe. She replaces Clare Chapman who left BT earlier this year.
  • Guido Ruoss has been promoted to Head of Human Resources at Julius Baer. He was the Head of Business and Product Management. Ruoss’ predecessor, Stefan Hux, will focus on the Group’s strategic hiring activities globally.
  • Martin Geissmann has been appointed Head of Recruitment for Shared Services at Credit Suisse. He was formerly the Global HR Business Partner for Group Internal Audit, Global Partnerships and CEO and the Chairman’s office at Swiss RE.
  • Beth Webster is the new Head of HR at TD Bank. Lucille Cavan was covering this position on an interim basis. Webster leaves Citi, where she was the Global Head of HR for the Consumer Bank. Her replacement is yet to be announced.
  • Kim Clarke is TSB Bank’s new Director of HR Business Partnering and Employee Relations. She joins from the Aviva Group where she was the HR Director for Integration.
  • Fahid Naeem is the new Global Head of Sales, Marketing, Infrastructure and Care Recruiting at Sonos. He joins from Bloomberg.
  • Andrea Smith has been promoted to CAO at Bank of America.
  • Sheri Bronstein has been appointed as the new Global Human Resources Executive at Bank of America. Bronstein was previously the Head of HR for Global Banking and Markets.
  • Ken Cooper, former Head of Technical Operations at Bloomberg, takes on the role as Head of HR, replacing Anne Erni.
  • Suzy Walther Yarnall, a further change at Bloomberg, has replaced Liz Wamai as the Global Head of Talent.
  • Fred Strobel moves from Morgan Stanley to Tradeweb as the US Head of HR.
  • Pilar Vitoria joins Moody’s as the Head of Total Rewards reporting to Lisa Westlake, the Chief HR Officer.
  • Hope Hardison has been appointed the CAO at Wells Fargo. She retains HR coverage alongside her new role.
  • Teresa Tanner of Fifth Third has been announced as the CAO.
  • Tim Peach has been appointed as the Head of Executive Compensation for Citi.
  • Kevin Smart joins the Commonwealth Bank of Australia as the HR Director for Wealth Management. This role is based in Sydney.
  • Allison Jobbins has been appointed as Amundi’s Head of International Human Resources. This follows an internal promotion.
  • Janina Knapasjö is Experian’s new Head of HR Operations, EMEA. She was previously the HR Director of Global Experian Data Quality.
