As the guests were welcomed into Leathwaite’s new office, at King William Street’s Equitable House, they were greeted with a wonderful array of music being played by Ben Gregson, a classical guitarist from the Royal College of Music, before they went on to meet wine-specialist, Henry Lloyd, who provided everyone with the opportunity to sample a range of wines from Fortnum & Mason.

Showcasing Fortnum & Mason’s latest wines

Henry Lloyd was back by popular demand, having showcased Fortnum & Mason’s wines at Leathwaite’s final client event at the company’s former Old Broad Street offices. Throughout the evening Henry shared his vast knowledge of wines with the guests as they tasted a broad variety of seasonal red, white and sparkling wines.

Spacious new offices

In addition to the wine tasting, guests toured the company’s new offices, which have provided Leathwaite with a much-needed increase in workspace to accommodate the continued growth of the company, as well as providing the addition of superb meeting rooms and a business lounge.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening

The social nature of the evening, combined with the music entertainment and wine-showcasing, proved extremely popular with our cllients, who commented on how much they enjoyed the event:

“Many thanks for the invitation to this evening. I very rarely go to such events but I really enjoyed catching up and seeing you and your team, and the new offices – plus it was an excellent opportunity to catch up with some familiar faces from the distant past. It is hard to take in the progress you have made in the business since those early days; a real tribute to you all. Thanks once again for an excellent evening!”

“Thank you very much for the drinks reception. It was great to catch up with the Leathwaite team, including many whom I had not met before. It was also a real pleasure to catch up with some of my old colleagues whom I have not seen in years. Your new offices were a rather good environment for holding it, especially with free flowing champagne! Please pass on my thanks to your fellow partners and to the Fortnum & Mason team for their wine tasting. Good luck with the ever expanding business!”

Andy Gregson, one of Leathwaite’s partners and head of the Management Consultancy division, summarised the evening, “Our new offices provide us with the ideal location and space to host events, catering for an even greater number of clients than was possible previously and providing a personal environment rather than meeting in hotels or restaurants/bars. It was exciting to see clients re-connecting with former colleagues, making new connections or even realising connections they didn’t know they had! Everyone appreciated the informal and social format of the evening – a genuine opportunity to network with no agenda. This is now firmly becoming an established event for our senior clients.”

Given the demand and feedback, we are planning to host a number of similar events – watch this space!
