Leathwaite is pleased to announce that it is embarking on a new partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity for the year of 2019.

Great Ormond Street Hospital has always depended on charitable donations to give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

GOSH

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, 63 children and young people – that’s more than two primary school classes – from across the UK arrive for lifechanging treatments for the very first time.

Every day, young lives hang in the balance as patients, families and staff battle the most complex illnesses. Every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children – and change the world.

Despite the greatest challenges a child can face, the hospital is a place where being sick does not always mean being sad. And it’s a place where you’ll find – today and every day – some of the bravest people you could ever meet. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, and every day is a chance for you to make a difference.

CURRENT EVENTS: TOUGH MUDDER - OCTOBER 2018

14 plucky members of Team Leathwaite are partaking in the Tough Mudder 5k run in mid-October in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

The team consists of seasoned runners and complete novices alike, all sharing the same objective – to power through the potentially very muddy run and its accompanying 13 obstacles in order to raise money for a very valuable cause (and get to the celebration drinks at the end!). GOSH support the hospital and young patients by funding four key areas:

Rebuilding and refurbishment

We help fund the wards and medical facilities designed around children and young people letting the hospital treat more patients in the best possible surroundings.

Groundbreaking research

We help fund pioneering research, from revolutionary gene therapy to tailor-made organs for transplant, to find treatments for the most complex childhood illnesses.

Advanced medical equipment

We help fund state-of-the-art medical equipment for treating the toughest and rarest conditions.

Child and family support services

We help fund services that can ease the burden on families, raise spirits, and support children and young people through their treatment. The children and young people at GOSH need your help to give them the best chance to fulfil their potential.
